The Blended Learning Bureau monitors and provides statewide eLearning services pursuant to the statewide cyber academy act. The goal of these eLearning services is to ensure geography and income are not barriers to success by ensuring access to rigorous coursework for all New Mexico students.
In order to meet this promise, the Blended Learning Bureau contracts with effective, highly-effective, and exemplary New Mexico educators to teach online courses. Course curriculum is either purchased from course providers or developed by educators, all of which are aligned to New Mexico Content Standards and Benchmarks as well as the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) standards. Blended Learning Bureau courses are asynchronous, highly-interactive, and engaging, equipping students with both the content knowledge and 21st century digital literacy skills needed to succeed within our rapidly evolving global economy.
All districts interested in utilizing Blended Learning Bureau eLearning services are expected to have the appropriate governing body approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the local education agency and PED. To start the process, please click here.
