Our Mission
The College and Career Readiness Bureau (CCRB) of the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) is dedicated to providing the students of our state with an educational foundation that takes them from primary school through secondary and postsecondary studies. This foundation encourages exploration and achievement in academic, career and technical education.
Integration of academics and work ready skills prepares our students for the rigorous demands of college and career. It is the educational development of our students upon which the economic development of New Mexico continues to depend. Our bureau provides leadership for the state’s college and career readiness system.
Our programs prepare students to enter the workforce with the academic and technical skills needed to compete successfully in the job market. College and career readiness is the unifying force in P-20 education that propels students from a solid foundation of early and secondary learning into rigorous career and technical education programs and college completion goals.
