Melanie Maestas graduated with a master’s in Family and Child Studies from the University of New Mexico. She was in the medical field for five years as a case manager and then directed her passions to the educational field. She worked as a Community Schools Coordinator in Albuquerque for years where she worked with community for positive outcomes at her school. She has two children and has been married for ten years. She enjoys baking and spending time with her children.
