COVID-19 Update: The New Mexico-based Pearson-owned testing centers for New Mexico Teacher Assessments and NES (National Evaluation Series) testing beginning May 16, 2020. In so doing, the tests centers will implement physical distancing and other measures to ensure the safety of testing candidates and our employees.
Beginning April 21, 2020 the Dossier and OPAL system will accept online payments. Educators who may have a check that is in the mail to the department will have the payment returned allowing them to pay online and expedite the process of review.
As of January 1, 2020 the NMPED now offers the PRAXIS exam through ETS (Educational Testing Service).

The deadline to complete exams offered through NMTA & NES has been extended through December 21, 2020.
Registration is available at NMTA (New Mexico Teacher Assessments) and NES (National Evaluation Series) by Pearson.
