Licensure Portal Quick Start User Guide

Licensure Updates

Apply, pay and track your digital application status online in the new licensure portal. Paper applications will be returned to the sender. We are currently processing applications with all requirements met within 15-20 business days. To obtain a copy of your license please login to your portal account to download/save and print.

All personnel required to hold NMPED licensure must have an appropriately cleared background submitted for the NMPED code TEACHER LICENSURE ORI # NM920140Z, before entering the virtual and/or in-person. School employment backgrounds may not be submitted in lieu of the required licensure background. For more information and step-by-step guidance please visit the Licensure Background Information subpage or follow this link Licensure Background Information.

Dossier Submissions:

NMPED has received a very high volume of submissions and requests for updates. Please be assured all dossiers will be read and returned by the end of June. You will receive an email confirmation when your dossier meets or does not meet expectations. Educators needing to resubmit a strand(s) may do so at any time. The dossier portal will be open for new submissions again on July 15, 2021.
