Jill has worked in the education field for over 25 years. She is driven by a commitment to increase connections between families and schools, particularly families who have not traditionally had a seat at the table. She is interested in biliteracy development having lived and taught in Spanish speaking communities in the US, Mexico, Spain and Puerto Rico. Jill has focused on Latinx families and their involvement in their children’s mathematics education through projects at various universities and through her work in the classroom. Jill has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Language, Reading and Culture from the University of Arizona.
