ESSER Funding Reports 2024-09-26T09:48:02-06:00

This dashboard is designed to offer data on how districts and state charter schools are spending their portions of the Coronavirus Aid Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund). Nearly $13.2 billion was provided to states to support the nation’s schools in safely reopening and sustaining safe operations of schools while meeting the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. New Mexico was awarded about $1.5 billion of which 90% was awarded as subgrants based on Local Education Agencies’ (LEA) proportional share of final 2019-20 Title I, Part A allocations received. Most of the dashboard focuses on reimbursements requested by the LEA. The final table on the second page highlights how LEAs planned to use these funds. The dashboards will continue to be updated as new data is collected.
