Evidence-Based Resources 2025-01-17T15:36:18-07:00

To effectively leverage Title II, Part A funds, Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) must ensure that their professional development programs meet the ESSA Definition of Professional Development and are backed by evidence-based resources. This involves selecting programs and strategies that have been scientifically researched, peer-reviewed, and have demonstrated positive outcomes in improving educator effectiveness and student achievement. LEAs should also align these resources with state standards and the specific needs of their educators. Incorporating stakeholder feedback and evaluating the impact of these programs are essential steps in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. By rigorously vetting and implementing evidence-based professional development, LEAs can maximize the benefits of Title II, Part A funds to enhance the quality of education in their districts.
