Educator Fellows is a two-year program managed by the New Mexico Public Education Department for individuals with a high school diploma who are aspiring to become a certified educator. Fellows receive professional mentorship and coaching, full benefits, paid professional leave to attend higher education requirements, hands on clinical experience, and a stipend. This program uses funds made available through the American Rescue Plan Act to increase the availability of qualified educators in New Mexico elementary school classrooms and to increase adult to student ratios in the classroom.
