Innovation Zones 2025-03-17T14:28:24-06:00

The College and Career Readiness Bureau (CCRB) administers competitive funding to support schools in their efforts to transform the high school experience. This involves creating a distinctive graduate profile that reflects the needs of the local community, the implementation of work-based learning, career technical education (CTE), capstone projects, social and emotional learning (SEL), and other programs aligned with core academics aimed at preparing students for future success in innovative and impactful ways.

Applications for funding open in the spring, and are evaluated and selected by members of the CCRB team along with other representatives of the NMPED.

The CCRB is preparing for year four of Innovation Zones. We are excited to implement changes that align the initiative with data-driven accountability measures. Details are still pending legislative outcomes. If you are interested in learning more or applying for Innovation Zone funding, please complete 2025-26 Innovation Zone Intent to Apply Form.  Completing the form is not necessary to apply for Innovation Zone funding, however, you will be placed on a communications list to receive updated information once the application opens.   Please ensure that the person responsible for completing the application is listed as the contact.  More information regarding the application process will be provided at a later date.
