New Mexico’s Measures of Student Success & Achievement (NM-MSSA) is the summative end of year assessment in mathematics and English language arts (ELA) for students in grades 3—8.
The NM-MSSA is aligned to the New Mexico Common Core State Standards (NMCCSS) for math and language arts. The assessment measures a student’s grade level proficiency and progress toward college and/or career readiness.
English and Spanish practice tests to help students prepare for the NM-MSSA will be available on the Cognia Help & Support site beginning February 25, 2020. Also available on that site are manuals, tutorials, and information about ordering materials.
For information about NM-MSSA development and administration, contact Brigette Russell, Ph.D., Deputy Director, at Brigette.Russell2@state.nm.us.
