The Title II, Part A program is designed to increase student achievement; to improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders; to increase the number of teachers, principals, and other school leaders who positively impact and help improve student academic achievement; and to provide students from low-income families and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.

 Title II, Part A investments should align with overall strategies to support effective instruction in order to improve student academic outcomes.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Title II Application Process

Completed Applications due to PED by 5 PM on 6/1/2018

Title II Team reviews applications 6/1-6/30

Initial approval for all LEAs by 6/30/2018

Final approval to all LEAs by 8/1/2018

Title II 2016-17 Carryover

All 16-17 carryover funds must be encumbered by 6/30/2018

All 16-17 carryover funds must be spent by 9/30/2018

All RfRs for these funds are due 10/12/2018
