Work-Based Learning

Work-Based Learning 2024-09-25T12:07:48-06:00

The College and Career Readiness Bureau (CCRB) partners with organizations to bring meaningful workplace opportunities to students, including:

  • Near Peer Tutoring – paid work experience for students interested in becoming teachers; providing tutoring services to younger students in their own school or district.
  • Be Pro Be Proud – An initiative led by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions and the New Mexico Center for Economic Opportunity. Be Pro Be Proud is a mobile workshop experience for students to discover which skilled professions spark their interests as they dig, drive, and weld using custom-developed, highly interactive Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) simulators.
  • Summer Enrichment Internship Program – Supported by several agencies and designed to equip NM high school students with practical work experience, this initiative guarantees fully funded internship opportunities, alleviating financial concerns for at-risk participants.
