LATINOS IN ACTION

Latinos In Action (LIA) offers an asset-based approach to bridging the graduation and opportunity gap for Hispanic / Latino students, working from within the educational system to create positive change. As part of this program, LIA hosts a conference for current and future LIA students at local universities.

LATINOS IN ACTION CONFERENCES

The Hispanic Education Bureau, Latinos in Action, and New Mexico State University Partner on First Annual LIA Conference.

The first conference in New Mexico was on February 23, 2024, at the NMSU campus in Las Cruces.

We invite all Las Cruces Public Schools and surrounding areas to register and attend. This conference is free for students and staff with lunch provided.

The second conference in New Mexico was on May 14, 2024, at the UNM Campus in Albuquerque.

This conference celebrated the pilot schools implementing the LIA Curriculum during SY 23-24. During the Student Conference, Competition Winners were announced.
