Parents and Stakeholders of Students with Disabilities – Input Needed

The Special Education Division of the New Mexico Public Education Department is seeking your input for setting baselines and target rates to determine if the state, districts and state charter schools are making progress. This information is reported in the State Performance Plan (SPP)/ Annual Performance Report (APR), submitted to the U.S. Department of Education (US DOE), Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). We want to hear from you!

To provide input, follow these steps:

  1. Open the file titled “Copy of APR Target Indicator Proposals”, review the data.
  2. Open the feedback form here: https://forms.gle/F9D4FcVMwJkoSzP47.
  3. There are 10 indicators in total, indicators 1, 2, 3, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16. Indicators 1, 3, 6C require a new baseline, the state is proposing new baselines for indicator 7. All 10 indicators require new targets. Select the option of your choice for each indicator on the feedback form.
  4. If you would like to propose a different baseline or target, select Other and please indicate the proposed baseline or target rate on the form.
  5. Once a response has been provided for each section, click submit on the APR Feedback form.
