Mission
The College and Career Readiness Bureau (CCRB) launched the Summer Enrichment Internship Program in 2021. The federal government provided a $9.8 million set-aside for student enrichment as part of pandemic relief efforts. The set-aside funding was used to launch the summer enrichment internship program. With the federal set-aside funding nearly exhausted, the New Mexico Legislature in winter 2023, provided funding to maintain and grow the program on behalf of our high school aged youth. Under the program, funding covers the cost of summer internships for New Mexico high school students. The goal is to provide high school students with the opportunity to participate in high-quality internships in agencies, including county, tribal, and/or municipal placements. We are pleased to announce the Summer Enrichment Internship Program will return in 2023! More details will be provided as needed.
