Deletion of Data

Districts can delete their own data in EDM Staging for all snapshot dates. All Templates Submission Schedule
- Data can only be deleted by districts when the submission and validation stages are open.
  - Data can be deleted by districts from all templates, with the exception of STUDENT, which requires a Delete Request to be entered in the Delete Request SharePoint site and STAFF which may not be deleted at any time.
- Data cannot be deleted by districts from EDM Staging after the validation stage has ended.
  - To request a delete from Staging after the validation stage has ended, please fill out the Delete Request form on the Delete Request SharePoint site. Please be sure to include all the correct information in the form based on the information provided below.

Templates that can not be deleted

The following templates can never have the entire template deleted:

Staff

Complete Template Deletions

The majority of templates have snapshot dates for each reporting period (40D, 80D, 120D, and EOY). For these templates the whole template will be deleted for that reporting period. The following is required when requesting a delete for templates with snapshot dates:

Individual Record Deletions

Assessment Fact Template– The Assessment Fact Template is a Template from which individual records CAN be deleted. Since this template does not have a snapshot date associated with it, the following “key fields” are required when requesting deletion of data from the Assessment Fact Template.

Special Education Events Template – The Special Education Events Template is a Template from which individual records CAN be deleted, but not the entire file.
