Applicants must register with IdentoGO at https://nm.state.identogo.com/.
- Click on “Schedule a New Appointment” for a background check.
- Use ORI# NM920140Z
- Complete the registration using the ORI#NM920140Z
- The application will ask you to identify the reason. Summer Reading Program applicants MUST NOT use the “Teacher Licensure” as a reason. Your application will be delayed.
- Based on the site location, select one of the following reasons:
- “Adam Walsh Act” – Select if the Summer Reading Program applicant will be working in a K-12 program.
NOTE: Applicants who will be working at a site located in a nonprofit organization, a religious setting, a tribally controlled institution, or PreK MUST select the NCPA/VCA option.
- “Adam Walsh Act volunteer” – This option MUST NOT be selected. The Summer Reading Program has NO volunteers.
- “NCPA/VCA” (National Child Protection Act/Volunteers for Children Act) Select if applicants do not meet the requirements for submission of fingerprints under the Adam Walsh Act, as outlined in the FBI Compact Council authorization letter. Applicants working at a site location located in a nonprofit organization, a religious setting, a tribally controlled institution, or PreK MUST select this option.
- Once registration is complete, you may take your appointment confirmation email or printout (although not required) with proof of identity to the nearest live scan fingerprint location.
- IdentoGO has a fee of $59.00 that you must pay when registering at their site.
- NMPED has approved ATA Services to reimburse this cost.
